As automakers search for the next big thing, the 2009 model year is seeing a number of brands giving new niche markets a try. Volkswagen has a new minivan named the Routan, and Hyundai has introduced a value-oriented luxury sedan dubbed Genesis. Nissan's pumped-up GT-R takes aim at other sports cars, and a hybrid version of the Cadillac Escalade SUV is also new.
