Pickup Segment Short on All-New Models

Last year was a busy one for pickups, as both GM and Toyota brought new versions of their full-size trucks to market. There's less news for 2008, as just the Dodge Dakota and Nissan Titan see modest updates.
The Dakota is offered in extended-cab and crew cab forms and features updated styling for 2008. The optional 4.7-liter V-8 engine now makes 290 horsepower and 320 pounds-feet of torque. Remote start is standard.
New long-wheelbase models join the Titan lineup and feature longer beds than were previously available. Power still comes from a 5.6-liter V-8, but the Titan also gets some exterior styling changes and gains a new PRO-4X trim with extra offroad components.
