International's MXT is a crew cab pickup truck in a much more consumer-friendly package than the company's RXT truck, which is a borderline big rig. The MXT's smaller size and lower ride height should make it attractive for consumers in the market for a distinctive pickup truck.

RXT
International Truck and Engine Corp. has a history dating back to the early days of the automobile. The company is well known for manufacturing commercial trucks, so it was surprising when it turned up at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show with the RXT. Compared with conventional full-size pickups, the RXT falls into a separate, oversize category. For 2008, the RXT will begin using Maxforce 7 and 9 diesel engines. The rest of the truck remains unchanged.
