2008 Isuzu Models

Manufacturer Lineup
2008 Models
Isuzu Ascender (2008)
$14,500 – $14,600
Isuzu's latest sport utility vehicle went on sale for the 2003 model year, replacing the company's long-lived Trooper. The Ascender shares its platform with GM's midsize SUVs. Competitors include the Dodge Durango and Ford Explorer. For 2008, side-impact airbags are standard.
Isuzu i290 (2008)
$12,450 – $12,550
Based on GM's compact pickups, the i-290 is the smaller of Isuzu's two i-series trucks, competing with the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier, among others. Not much has changed for 2008 besides an increase in towing capacity and the discontinuation of the LS option package.
Isuzu i370 (2008)
$14,000 – $14,850
Isuzu sells two pickups in the U.S., the i-290 (which is listed separately in the Cars.com Research section) and the i-370, which has a 242-horsepower, 3.7-liter inline-five-cylinder. These pickups join Isuzu's only remaining model in the U.S. market: the Ascender sport utility vehicle, which is also based on a GM product. Serving as the uplevel i-series model, the i-370 gets an optional integrated trailer hitch and a standard sliding rear window for 2008. Also, towing capacity has increased 1,500 pounds to 5,500 pounds.
