The ZDX is another in a growing class of coupe/sedan/crossovers, which combine the sleek lines of a coupe with four full doors in a vehicle of unlikely size. The ZDX shares its platform, wheelbase, standard all-wheel drive and overall width with the MDX, Acura's largest model to date that accommodates seven in three rows of seats. The ZDX is a couple inches longer than the MDX, its roof is a half-foot lower and it seats five.

Acura RL (2009)

Acura gave its flagship RL sedan a modest update for 2009. Though they fall short of a full redesign, the updates include a new face that follows those of the brand's SUVs and its redesigned TSX. The RL competes with midlevel luxury cars like the Infiniti M and Mercedes E-Class.

Completely overhauled for 2009, Acura's best-selling sports sedan now comes with a new 280-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine and is newly available with Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive. The model also receives an exterior redesign and an interior face-lift, as well as voice activation for many features.

Acura's entry-level TSX sport sedan has been redesigned for the 2009 model year. The new model is larger than its predecessor, offers better gas mileage, features all-new styling and is powered by a cleaner four-cylinder engine. Competitors include the Audi A4, Infiniti G35 and Saab 9-3.
