New Buick Models

The 2010 model year marks the first complete redo of Buick's LaCrosse since the competent but uninspiring midsize sedan made its 2005 debut. Though it shares aspects with the Chevrolet Malibu and Saturn Astra, the LaCrosse is intended to compete with premium or near-luxury models like the Volkswagen Passat. It was designed in the U.S. and China, where Buick has a significant presence. 

The Buick Enclave crowns GM's newest batch of crossover SUVs, a group that also includes the Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia. The Enclave has some features not seen on the Outlook or Acadia, including a power-adjustable steering wheel, rear backup camera and additional noise insulation. Like its siblings, the Enclave offers three rows of seats standard with seating for up to eight passengers. While the Outlook and Acadia compete with garden-variety Hondas and Toyotas, Buick says the Enclave will go head-to-head with the Volvo XC90 and Acura MDX, among others.

Buick's LaCrosse midsize sedan received new front-end styling last year and a new Super trim level. Supers feature a V-8 engine with fuel-saving cylinder deactivation technology. Also available in CX and CXL forms with V-6 power, the sedan competes with the Mercury Milan and Chrysler 300. 

The front-wheel-drive Lucerne entry-luxury full-size sedan comes with a new V-6 in CX and CXL trims and a V-8 in the Super trim level. Competitors include the Hyundai Azera and Toyota Avalon.
