Manufacturer Lineup (all prices are MSRP)
Introductions
Models debuting in the current model year
Chevrolet Camaro (2010)
$22,680 - $33,745

The all-new Camaro marks the return of affordable (compared to the Corvette) rear-wheel-drive performance at Chevy. The Camaro is available in LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS and 2SS trim levels. The Camaro competes with other retro-inspired muscle coupes, including the Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang.
Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid (2009)
$38,020 - $47,305

For 2009, the Chevrolet Silverado full-size pickup truck is now offered with GM's two-mode hybrid system. Available exclusively in the crew-cab body style, the Silverado Hybrid is expected to use one-quarter less gas than a regular Silverado. The truck hits dealerships in late fall 2008, and competitors include the Dodge Ram, Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra.
Chevrolet Traverse (2009)
$29,215 - $41,975

For 2009, Chevrolet got its own version of GM's popular three-row crossover. It's called the Traverse, and it offers distinctive styling and a purportedly sportier driving experience than its Saturn Outlook, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave siblings. Competitors include the Toyota Highlander, Mazda CX-9 and Hyundai Veracruz.
Redesigns
Models that have undergone significant mechanical and/or sheet-metal changes since the previous model year
Chevrolet Corvette (2009)
$48,565 - $103,970

The Corvette is Chevrolet's flagship sports car, and it's offered as a hardtop or a convertible. In addition to the base model, which makes more than 400 horsepower, Chevrolet also sells two high-performance variants of the sports car: the 505-hp Z06 and the new-for-2009 ZR1, which is powered by a supercharged V-8 that kicks out a whopping 638 hp. Competitors include the Ford Shelby GT500, Dodge Viper and Nissan GT-R.
Chevrolet Equinox (2010)
$22,440 - $29,795

Chevrolet has redesigned its Equinox, a five-seat crossover that shares many components with the Saturn Vue. Though it rides on a similar wheelbase to the outgoing model, the new Equinox is slightly shorter and wider. With a new direct-injection four-cylinder engine, Chevrolet is targeting an impressive 30 mpg highway, territory normally reserved for cars. Equinox competitors include the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape.
Remaining Lineup
Chevrolet Avalanche (2009)
$34,960 - $46,200

When it debuted for 2002, the Avalanche upset the trend of making more SUV-like pickups. Chevy simply made its popular Suburban into a pickup; it gave the Avalanche more versatility, but it didn't lose any of the SUV's inherent creature comforts. Perhaps the ultimate vehicular multitool, the Avalanche features a midgate that expands the cargo area into the passenger cab. By removing the midgate and folding down the second-row seat, the cargo floor extends from 5 feet, 3 inches long to more than 8 feet long. The cargo bed also features lockable, side-mounted storage. A locking tailgate and cargo cover increase the secured-storage options even more. The Avalanche is available in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels and in two- and four-wheel drive.

Chevrolet Colorado (2009)
$16,705 - $26,940

It wasn't the most auspicious debut for a pickup. When four of the five midsize truck manufacturers introduced new small pickups in 2004-05, GM introduced the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, and in so doing gave up two decades of equity in the popular S-10 brand to rename its compact truck. Chevy also stepped away from the norm to offer a dual overhead camshaft and inline-five-cylinder engine rather than a traditional V-6. Then came new trucks from Dodge, Toyota and Nissan — all with more horsepower and towing capacity.
