Introductions
Models debuting in the current model year
Pontiac G3 (2009)
$14,335

Pontiac is offering a new economy hatchback, the G3. It's a subcompact, four-door hatchback, and (as the Pontiac G5 is to the Chevy Cobalt) it's a near-identical twin to the Chevrolet Aveo5. As such, the G3 hatch competes with the Scion xD, Kia Rio5 and Toyota Yaris.

Pontiac Vibe (2009)

$16,100 - $20,875

Hatchbacks have become increasingly popular lately, and Pontiac has a new version of its Vibe that's set to join the mix when it hits dealerships in the early part of 2008. The Vibe wears new exterior styling and also receives interior revisions. Available in either front- or all-wheel-drive form, the Vibe is powered by one of two four-cylinder engines and is related to the Toyota Matrix. Competitors include the Kia Spectra5, Mazda3 and Subaru Impreza.
Remaining Lineup
Pontiac G3 (2010)
$14,275

Pontiac G5 (2009)
$16,980 - $20,280

The Pontiac G5 coupe is virtually identical to the Chevrolet Cobalt and is only offered as a coupe. The G5 is available in base and GT trims and has more standard equipment than its Chevrolet sibling — power windows and remote entry are installed on base GTs but are optional on the Cobalt — however the G5 costs more. The G5 competes with other compacts, such as the Ford Focus and Scion tC.
Pontiac G6 (2009)
$21,165 - $32,300

Pontiac's sporty midsize front-wheel-drive G6 is available as a sedan, coupe and retractable-hardtop convertible, and is aimed at the Mazda6, Mitsubishi Galant and Nissan Altima. A GXP high-performance trim, available as a coupe or sedan, was added to the lineup in 2008.
Pontiac G8 (2009)
$28,190 - $31,555

The G8 sedan is Pontiac's full-size sedan and the first North American model based on a new platform that will also support the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro. The G8 is available in base, G8 trim with a V-6, as well as GT and GXP trims with V-8s. The G8 competes with full-size cars such as the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300C.
Pontiac Solstice (2009)
$24,275 - $30,375

Pontiac's answer to the Mazda MX-5 Miata is the Pontiac Solstice. The Solstice is available as a roadster and in a new coupe body style. The turbocharged GXP is a high-performance trim level. Similar cars include the Honda S2000 and Audi TT.
Pontiac Torrent (2009)
$24,820 - $31,415

Available in base and performance-oriented GXP trim levels, the five-seat Torrent compact SUV comes with front- or all-wheel drive and a choice of V-6 engines. The Pontiac Torrent is closely related to the Chevrolet Equinox. The Torrent's competition is the Ford Escape, Jeep Liberty and Toyota RAV4.
