What Is the 2016 Dodge Challenger?
What's New on the 2016 Dodge Challenger?
The notable additions for 2016 are the new Plum Crazy exterior color and the Blacktop Appearance Package for SXT and R/T trim levels.
How Does the 2016 Dodge Challenger Compare to Other Sports Coupes?
The Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro are both shorter, lower and lighter than the Challenger, which makes them superior when it comes to handling. However both fall short of the Challenger in terms of interior space. Although the Challenger offers a more comfortable ride, its rivals also come as convertibles, which is not an option with the Challenger.
What Features in the 2016 Dodge Challenger Are Most Important?
The Dodge Challenger gives drivers the choice of a 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 or three V-8 engines, including a 375-hp 5.7-liter, 485-hp 6.4-liter and the 707-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 found on the SRT Hellcat trim. Transmission availability — including a six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic — depends on the trim level. Significant standard features include LED daytime running lights, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless access, heated side mirrors and automatic dual-zone climate control. As required in all new cars, the Challenger also features front airbags, antilock brakes and an electronic stability system.
Significant available features include forward collision warning, blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, a power sunroof, Uconnect multimedia system, leather upholstery, backup camera, heated and ventilated front seats, and a navigation system. On the Challenger SRT, notable features include Pirelli P Zero Nero tires, upgraded Brembo brakes, 20-inch forged aluminum wheels and functional heat extractors plus an air inlet port for Hellcat models.
Should I Buy the 2016 Dodge Challenger?
If you're in the market for a sports coupe with classic exterior styling and more interior space than the competition, the 2016 Dodge Challenger is worth your consideration.
